Hi People! :) It's my first overclock and i'm trying to do it slowly. I manage to overclock my fx 6300 to 4.5Ghz with 1.37v stable (prime95, RAM and CPU stress test). But with all fans on max, reaching 52Cº (with antivirus, google and Hwinfo64 on). Oh and 2 hous test btw.
I just wanna know if i'm doing things right and read some opinions people. Thanks!

This is my machine:

CPU: Amd fx 6300
MB: Msi 970 Gaming
MEM: Gskill 2x4GB 2133Mhz
GPU: Msi gtx 560 ti Hawk
PSU: Cooler Master G750M
CASE: Zalman z11 plus h1f
Cooler: Cooler Master 212 Evo

you're using the stock cooler? if so, and your OC is stable, and your temps dont exceed 60c at stress at all, then well done! thats a fine overclock!

my advice would be get an aftermarket cooler, it will be much quieter and will drop your temps even more. also dont try and go any higher, you wont get much more than 4.5Ghz on a 970 chipset.

I would now advise: OC your GPU, OC your RAM and tighten the RAM timings, and enjoy :)

UPDATE, dont need to OC your RAM its already at 2133

hi BSOD BSTD! Thanks for the reply :) I forgot to tell... I have a Cooler master 212 evo sorry.
The graphics card is next 😛 still need a little more hours of CPU test. Just to be safe.
About the RAM, on BIOS options is at 1600Mhz and then i select 2133Mhz. But on main BIOS menu (where is clock and spects) is at 1866Mhz (never understand why but ok 😛).

install CPU-Z and post a shot of the 'memory' tab. this will clear up any confusion as to what your system is actually running.

I had a quick google, this guide seems ok for overclocking the 560ti

maybe install MSI afterburner instead, its a good little program. Also use Heaven to do visual benchmarking, it does the job well.

Things to note with GPU OC. You might well not need to increase your voltage to OC the GPU, a lot of the time you wont even need to bother. Also GPU's run HOT, dont freak out if your GPU hits 80c (if it gets to 95c then kill the benchmark). finally if you keep seeing artifacts in the benching then just knock your core speed down a touch.
