I am currently looking at clocking my existing system, is it worth doing and can it be tweaked.Any help would be much appreciated.
My system is
ATHLON XP 2200 13.5 x 133.33 MHZ = 1800 MHZ
MSI KT4 ULTRA MOBO memory clock 166MHZ
512MB MEMORY PC2700
V CORE 1.60V

Is it possible to increase FSB and memory speed.

id say get some better(faster) ram. some 512mb ddr400 will do geat.
But if you are broke.. then just increase fsb by little and run superpi 1M/8M.
If its stable, then increase some more fsb. when it crashes. lower fsb some.

Hi Juzzo,
Thanks for that info will try adjusting FSB i am building a new system so was trying to get something extra out of my current system.

Thanks

msi has utilities for overclocking - you can download from them. It automatically finds the max OC speed for you then you can back off a little. I would suggest blowing an dust out of the CPU heatsink before you start to keep temps as low as possible.

Depends on which 2200 chip you have. The early "A" versions didn't overclock worth a hoot. Later AMD improved the 2200 chip, the "B" version and it would overclock somewhere around 2.1 GHz.
