Hi,

As i am new to overclock (first time) I got a quick question about my temp after overclock.

my Build:
CPU: Intel i7 920
MB: Asus P6TD DELUXE
Ram: 6gb (3x2gb) OCZ Platinum DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz OCZ3P1600LV6GK
Video: MSI Radeon HD 4870 1GB

I only use intel standard fan. i also have 2 cool master 120mm case fan running.

I overclock my cpu with these spec:

Except those listed below, everything is Auto/Default
Hyperthread, Turbo, Speedstep: All ON
BCLK: 180
CPU Voltage: 1.30
QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: 1.35

I have idle temp at 46C while full loaded at around 55C

Do you think it's too hot?

I usually use it for normal daily work such as MS office or web browsing.. once a while i play some online game like maplestory. Since i don't use it primary as gaming and i don't push it hard all the time. I wonder if this temperature is ok or not?

Those are GREAT temps... Especially w/ the Intel Stock Heat sink/Fan, we recommend you use Core Temp for reading your CPU Temps just in case you are getting a misread in your other programs. Totally up to you to see if your getting proper readings, most people use atleast 3-4 programs to confirm.

dont forget to check out your bios hardware monitor. note that most don't show the core temps themselves but the socket temp

I don't buy your getting those low load temps. Try firing up Linx and run that for 5 minutes and report back. What are you using for temp monitoring? Was that your core temps or cpu temp?

By "loaded" do you mean 100% load or just stoned. I mean, wow, to go up only 9 deg from zero load to 100% load is quite remarkable with the stock fan.
