overclock monitor not force

I have a PG248Q monitor Asus
and can overclock to 180hz.
is it ok or not ?
will effect the life of monitor ?
is thier risk ?what if put fan to push heat while overclock ?

I have my VG248QE at 155hz and its fine. It can go higher but I actually like it and would like if it lasted until I make the jump to 4k. 180hz sounds like a bit much and isn't worth the risk IMO, but if you are not seeing any tearing or anything I wouldn't be overly worried.
