Overclock my CPU for better gaming performance?

Hey, so I'm new to overclocking / pc gaming in general (built my pc over christmas break with lots of help). And now I'm just trying to learn as much as I can. I have an i5-4670k @ 3.4ghz stock clock (although I think it can boost to 3.6 or 3.8ghz, not sure) and a 4gb msi factory-OC gtx 770.
Basically, my question is; Should I OC my cpu? will it increase my gaming performance? or is 3.4ghz on the i5-4670k architecture enough to power any game on max settings atm with no fps penalty.
Cheers!

i5-4670K can be boosted to 3.8Ghz with overclocking. Overclocking will improve the gaming performance. I don't think the i5-4670K will run "any or all" games at max settings but most of that will depend on your GPU and the resolution you play at, no. of monitors, etc, etc. So the gaming performance doesn't just depend on the CPU. It will vary form game to game. Hope that helped!

Thanks everyone for the replies!
So what I'm gathering from everything, is that with a single GPU, I should be fine with my stock clocks.
I DO have a noctua CPU cooler so I could bump up the clock a bit, but I'm a bit worried that I would stuff it up.
I have used MSI's OC Genie tool in the past, but it keeps my CPU at 4ghz at all times without letting it underclock when it's not in use. Anyone know if there's any settings to let it automatically underclock when I'm idle?

Cheers again :)

Maybe Intel Speed Step. It is really meant for laptops to increase battery like by under clocking and under volting during idle but you could try it. You turn it on in your BIOS usually under advanced CPU section.
