Overclock options on Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970

Hi, I'm getting 40-60 FPS on Crysis 3 at High settings, and am new to OC. Ideally I would like a solid 60, maybe even at Very High textures and other settings.
Just wondered if this is possible with by setting the factory overclock settings in the AMD software on (told you I was a noob...is it safe?) -or other ways of doing it...maybe overclocking both the CPU and GPU

AMD 8350 eight core CPU (with CM 212 Hyper EVO cooler)
Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 Socket AM3+ ATX Motherboard
8GB Corsair RAM
Corsair CX600 power (Power calculator recommends 414w for this setup)
Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7970 GPU
128GB OCZ SSD

You don't need to OC.

Get RadeonPro. Set the mipmap settings to "Quality" (default is "High Quality"). Should net you a nice performance gain.
