Hello! I have 2 memory ram - Corsair LPX 8GB 3000Mhz CL16 and my mobo ASUS Z370-P II.

When i set my ram to 3000Mhz with XMP my PC is not stable. In AIDA64 will failed with Hardware failure. In stock settings (2133Mhz) is working well without any errors. I was settings the timings on ram manually but i guess somewhere i do something wrong because is still fail in AIDA64. I test the ram with Memtest86, HCI memtest and they pass.

I think i must overclock a little bit the processor to run at 3000Mhz. My processor is an Intel i5 9600k.

Here is the full specs of my rams: https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE%C2%AE-LPX-8GB-%281-x-8GB%29-DDR4-DRAM-3000MHz-C16-Memory-Kit---Black/p/CMK8GX4M1D3000C16

Can somebody help me to set my ram to 3000Mhz? Somebody who know to overclock because i don't know how to do it.

Hey buddy,

I had the same issue today, but Im running an X99 rampage 5 extreme, 5930k and 3400Mhz memory. You may have to increase your ram voltage a little, I had to as my board read low in bios (common on asus boards apparently). If that doesnt help you might have to increase your system agent voltage. It suppilies the memory controller onboard your cpu. I couldn't get anywhere near stable until this was at 1.14v then it was totally solid (all chips are different with this voltage, don't just type that voltage in)

Good guide here, should be similar for your situation:

Takes a few hours to get it right. Good luck.

Also, did you buy a 2 of the kits in that link? Because you should really buy them as a set because they are tested working together in dual stick kits. They are tested working at the rated speeds in the factory. You'll probably still get 3000 easy though. Also note my hardware is from 2016 so things might have changed with these new gen chips, I haven't had experience with them. They'll probably be a guide on asus forums for a newer board.

I was trying to work with the voltage but i didn't succeed. But now i am running at 2500 Mhz with no errors of instability. Its an improvement.

UPDATE: 2800Mhz with 16-18-18-36 timings at 1.2v. I think if i set the timings 16-18-18-38 with 1.35v will be stable at 3000Mhz, i will try it. The timings that Corsair got 3000Mhz is 16-20-20-38 with 1.35v but i think is a little bit more.
