Overclock Temp Question

Hello. I have an i5 4670k OCed to 4.2ghz. My idle temps are 44 to 50c. I just put new thermal paste on. What's weird to me is I just played Witcher 3 for over an hour and my temps never went above 55c. Can anyone tell me if this is okay, or should I be concerned? Thanks.

well thats....what cpu cooler you have?
I have the same CPU overclocked @ 4.4Ghz and i am using master air 8 cpu cooler my temp when using AIDA64 were max at 65'C

I have an Enermax 120x. The thermal paste is also Enermax.

Temps sound fine, honestly you have a little more themal headroom, if you wanted to go higher

I can't seem to go any higher than 4.3 I'm currently at 4.3ghz and 1.280 voltage. My temps are around the same as the 4.2 OC. Also on some other games my temps did go up a bit. To the low/mid 70's. Is this okay?

Yeah it seems you hit the limit for your chip in that case. In my opinion anything over 70 is a bit high, if you are concerned about the longevity of your chip. If not then its fine.
