Overclocked 980Ti or 2x 780 Ti?

Hey. I was wondering if I should upgrade my current rig from my 2-way 780 Ti SLI (Gigabyte GHz Editions) to a single high power 980 Ti (e.g MSI Lightning / Asus Platinum and etc)?

I'm currently gaming on 1440p on a 144Hz screen with G-Sync enabled.
GTA V finds it hard to top 60 even in my SLI and it tops my 3GB VRAM off, and The Witcher 3 lags quite a lot with everything maxed out. Can I expect to get more performance out ofa single highly over clocked 980Ti?
(comparing guru3d benchmarks shows that the Gigabyte G1 980Ti outperforms 780Ti in 2 way, but that was against a reference model).

Wait for pascal? Witcher 3 have known issue with kepler based cards.

I would say get gtx 980 ti. It had more Vram at 6 gigs. And is faster the the 2 780's.

I'm not the type to wait that long to get decent performance.
I'd like to upgrade now to Maxwell (980 Ti) if the performance of a single card outperforms my 780 TI SLI.

Well, looks like one GTX 980 TI is faster then GTX 780 TI SLI look at these benchmarks in the links and compare. BF4 is 15 FPS faster at 3840 x 2140 on the single GTX 980 ti!!!!

Looking at the benchmarks, 780 TI SLI gets about 20+ FPS on 1440p Battlefield 4. Will also outperform 980 TI on 4K. Pretty sure.
