Hi,

I have used my BIOS to overclock my CPU to 4.0GHz.

1.
I have run a cpu-z stress test for 1 hour and there are no problems - 70 degrees
However all I did change was the base clock to 40x and the ratio to 42
Is this okay? Will I run into problems later on?

2.
I have overclocked to 4.0GHz however, I am running at 4.56GHz under full load. Is it because of the turbo boost?

Solution
1. Yes for the near future everything should be fine as long as not too many other extreme changes happen

2 yes when a cpu is under a heavier load the turbo boost kicks in like “dynamic overclocking”
