Overclocked memory lifespan

Hi,
I'm in the process of speccing up a a new build to go with a kaby lake 7700k cpu. Looking at the DDR4 memory options it appears that 2400mhz is the max memory speed before memory is factory overclocked. I was wondering if factory overclocked memory has a shorter life span than going for the 2400mhz option? For example i was considering the Kingston HyperX Predator 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 PC4-24000C15 3000MHz but debating whether to stick with something at 2400mhz. Ideally i'm looking for a stable build and parts that last.

No it won't shorten lifespan they are designed to run at that speed. It's not an overclock. That would be going above designed spec

Ok so when looking at motherboards and they say 3000(O.C) is it the motherboard having to work faster than it should to process data? Will it have any affect on the motherboard or any other parts life span?

Lifespan is relatively identical. The OC'd module may outlive the stock speed module or vice versa. The same applies to a CPU that has been responsibly OC'd. It can last just as long as one that has never been OC'd.

I'd keep things simple. You aren't going to notice a performance difference unless you are running a benchmark with only a 600MHz difference. Stick with the 2400MHz 2x16GB RAM sticks.

It shouldn't really affect the motherboard much at all, the memory controller is inside the cpu. Heat is what kills electronics not overcloking, DDR4 doesn't really get hot at all if you run the voltage the sticks are designed to run at. I currently have a 7700k with ddr4 3000 CL15-15-15-35 on an asus strix z270f mobo and it works great. You will more than likely upgrade long before you kill any parts, I upgraded from a a heavily overcloked AMD FX6350 running at 4.8ghz constantly its whole life, used it for 4 years, still works today with no signs of degradation.
