[SOLVED] Overclocked Ryzen 1600 barely outpreforming stock benchmark?

My overclocked Ryzen 1600 @3.6ghz is barely outpreforming the stock benchmark. It is stable and has never crashed on me so i dont think it's an issue with undervolting. It is also watercooled and never reaches more than 65c in stress tests. RAM is DOCP @ 2933mhz and is in dual channel.

Single thread (from cpu z): 386.3 vs 364 stock benchmark (provided by cpu z, not my own chip stock)
Multi thread: 3221.8 vs 3108 stock (provided by cpu z)

My build is:
B350 ROG Strix
ROG Strix GTX 1070
Ryzen 5 1600 @3.6ghz
16gb of vengeance ddr4 ram (DOCP 2933), dual channel configured
256gb samsung 850 evo SSD

With the cpu at stock, it enables XFR and precision boost, which might already boost the cpu to 3.6 or very close to it, or even to 3.7 under light single thread loads, as thermals and power allows.

Hmm, i didn't think about this. This could very well be the case. My overclock is very light so maybe i should try and push it further.

If you feel comfortable with doing so, and the temperature and power allow it, i'm all for that.

wouldn't getting faster ram give you more gains than overclocking the cpu?

Probably not. 3200mhz is the "sweet spot" and getting more is usually a lot more expesnive, and the difference between 2933 and 3200 or even 3600 is pretty minor.
Also, getting more than 2933 on 1st gen is.. if you manage that youre a boss.
