I'm inexperienced when it comes to manually doing this so I just pressed the OC Genie button. I monitor my temps and what not with RealTemp. I noticed that after I used the OC Genie to clock my i7-4770K to 4.0GHz, RealTemp shows it is at 4000 MHz at all times now. It was 800MHz at idle before, now it idles at the OC'd core speed. Anyone have a potential fix? I'd kind of like to have it running at lower speeds when I'm not doing anything.

You need to change the processor states in your power options within windows. it is likely set to 100% at all times (which is not really a bad thing for performance) having it idle down is just a power saving option that can cause troubles after overclocking has been done
