Hello everyone,
Made the jump from my 8700k last night. Went to the 10850k with an Asus Strix z490 Gaming-E board. SP rating is a laughable 53. I tried some quick and dirty OC's at 5.1 with like 4.3 volts and couldn't even get it to the desktop stable. Right now I am running that Asus OC where it sets the fluctuating clock at 4.9ish. I'll play some Warzone tonight and see if I can see a respectable fps difference. If not, i'll return the chip to BestBuy tomorrow morning. I just know these i9's don't have the headroom for OC's like the i7's did and I am not honestly sure if a true OC is even worth the maybe 10 frames it will eek out. Open to all thoughts and comments! Honestly, I guess my main question is if you think it would be worth returning.
