I'm currently trying to OC my FX-8320 on my M5A97 R2.0 with a Cooler evo 212 and DDR3 ARES 2133 ram (2x4G). I am able to boot and run at the stock voltages (CPU-1.38125 & CPU/NB-1.1875) at a core multiplier of 21 (4.2 Ghz). When i bump it up to x22 the system fails the prime 95 test within about 10 miutes. I have tried increasing the CPU voltage and/or the CPU/NB voltage but the system completely locks up when I apply the changes (using AI Suite II for Overclocking). Why is it crashing when I increase the voltage?

More info:

Solution
Have you tried using a overclocking profile on your MB? sometimes it will allow you to turn off turbo core which usually was cause the issue and will also allow you to have everything setup for overclocking.
Edit:
Also DCHP suck whenever it comes to overclocking. Make sure to have it set for manual
