Hello there,
I have recently been trying to overclock my AMD FX 4100 chipset to atleast 4.0ghz. But, currently I came a across a problem where, I cannot set my CPU to go above 3.7ghz, even with Turbo Tech, AMD Cool'n'Quiet and C1E support disabled. Could this be a power-supply error? or voltage?
If it is a voltage, how do I change the volts on a MSI 760GM-P23 motherboard.
I honestly cannot give you a name for the PSU, as there is no branding on the PSU itself, but it has seemed to keep me going for months on end. But, please try to give me solution before telling me to get a new PSU.
PSU: 550W - NO BRAND SPECIFIED
CPU: AMD FX 4100 - CURRENTLY AT 3.7GHZ
RAM: 1X 4G RAM, 1X 2GB RAM (BOTH CORSAIR) RUNNING ON DUAL CHANNEL
MOTHERBOARD: MSI 760GM P23
GPU: AMD RADEON HD 7770 1GB GDDR5
CASE: ZALMAN ZM-T2
Also, whenever I start Planetside 2 and games like that, it seems like my CPU puts itself to sleep.
