Overclocking a E7400 with stock coolers

New to overclocking would like some advice on how to go about it, tried it a few times sometimes its stable sometimes its not. I think I missed some of the cruicel settings. Bought a new graphics card a 6870, now trying to make the rest of my computer a bit faster. I will post my specs below, would be great if someone could tell me ALL the settings i need to change in the BIOS.

It's for an EP35-DS3L but all the Gigabyte Core2 BIOS's are similar.

Go through the guides. Then take your core voltage off Auto and set your memory voltage to factory recommended values. Change the System Memory Multiplier from AUTO to 2.00 if you can. Otherwise, set it to the lowest value possible. At an FSB of 266 MHz, your memory clock should be at 533 MHz.

Overclocking memory doesn't accomplish much besides limiting your CPU overclock where the real speed comes from.

Here is your problem:
The G41 is an economy chipset. You probably will not be able to push the FSB freq much past 350 - 360 MHz. That means the top limit of your speed will be around 3.8 GHz. I have two G'byte G41 boards. One will reach 352 MHz. The other will hit 361 MHz.

If you are going to run with the stock cooler, you need to gradually push your FSB freq up until your load temps (Prime95 is really popular for this) hit about 70 C. Running with the stock cooler pretty much eliminates increasing vcore.
