So recently I was poking around with my computer and found out that you can overclock monitors. So naturally I was interested by that and found many guides online, so naturally I tried it.
I have a HP 27" monitor:
https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=9SIA9JA53D7870&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-Mobile&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-Mobile-_-pla-_-Monitors+-+CRT-_-9SIA9JA53D7870&gclid=CI_Xndqg79ACFZGJaQod_P8EDw&gclsrc=aw.ds
And if I try bringing the refresh rate up even 1hz the monitor says "input signal out of range" and that the display will go to sleep in 30 seconds.
Does this just mean that HP doesn't allow you to overclock their monitor? Or is there a step I missed that will prevent it from doing this.
Thanks,
