okay, so i need to overclock my q6600 in my dell optiplex 755 minitower, but i don't know where to find the PLL code on the motherboard. can someone tell me where it is located?

Nevermind did a google and seems you can force oc it but you can also brick the system. The pll chip is bewlo the heatsink cover just behinf the pci-e slot. It should say CV or PAG on it.

The BSEL mod will get you from 266fsb to 333fsb so with the 9x multiplier 9x266=2.4GHz, 9x333=3GHz. you could just install a Q9650 (3GHz)and be done with it. The Q6700 with 10x Multiplier will go 3.3GHz. You will need heatpipe cooler D9729 which bolts in. The other pinmod you might need is VID mod to raise voltage.
With more voltage available SETfsb, and Clockgen software can be used.
