Overclocking A10 6700 Richland APU?

I have an aftermarket cooler for the cpu, I just can't find a program to overclock it. AMD Overdrive never saves the new clock settings and no other programs have even attempted to work. Is is even possible to overclock this cpu? The APU is in an FM2 chipset and I have a M11BB model Asus motherboard with UEFI BIOS. Any help would be great. Thanks!

the a10-6700 can't be overclocked. it lacks the "K" designation of an overclockable cpu.

and before you think "i'll buy a new cpu to fix this oversight" the motherboard in that pc is a A55 chipset motherboard. which does not support overclocking either.

Nah, I wasn't planning to upgrade the cpu, just trying to get some more out of it. Thanks for the help!

no problem. you CAN overclock the igpu on that chip. if you don't have a discrete gpu that will give you a boost in performance.
