Hey guys ,
Last year i built my new pc ( my first build ) so i had Amd 965 BE but Bf4 is coming so i think i need a better cpu so ... Should i buy an aftermarket cooler and try to OC or buy a new mobo cpu and windows.... i have oem atm :/ If i Oc will it help performence in games?

Solution
Overclocking will surely help, but depending on your performance expectations, it may not be enough.
Since BF4 is going to use a newer version of the same engine BF3 uses, you can expect similar performance scaling.
With that said, your Phenom will have no problem running the game, but you should gain a healthy amount of performance by upgrading to a FX 6 or 8 core CPU, unless your graphics card is the bottleneck in which case the performance gain will be slim.

It makes sense to me to buy something like a Cooler Master 212, they are only about $25, and are one of the best coolers on air you can buy.
Your processor is unlocked, (why would you have a BE processor in the first place if you did not intend to overclock it?!) so all you have to do is raise the multiplier, maybe up the core voltage slightly if you want to go a little more, and see how that works out before you start over from the ground floor.

Well i have 7850 1gb , i dont mind playing at low settings so do you think overclocking will boost my performance enough for me to notice it? well i might overclock soon and just upgrade my cpu next year. Thanks so much
