Overclocking AMD FX-8320 4.5GHZ

So I have managed to Overclock my processor to 4.5Ghz but it runs seriously hot, doing a IntelBurnTest it starts pushing 80c and that's where I stop it. I was just wondering if anyone had an idea to why its running so damn hot?
If you need any more information than what I have given just ask! Thank you!

Really? I thought that was like getting close to melting point?
Vcore is 1.440 V
I think my H80 is fine its been great with temps until I kicked my cpu into a Ghz overclock..
I have Corsair Link which is made for the Cooler, plus HwMonitor and CPU-Z

@ i7Baby im no exprent on the FX heat limitations but i remember

62C is the upper limit for extended use and should never go above that and the CPU is usually kept around 55C while OC'ed

also the CPU is 32nm so it is less resistant to heat than said Ivy/haswell

but it can take more voltage than an ivy/haswell (electromagnetism)
 
You are using the Asus Sabertooth 990FX board? The BIOS options for current look similar.

SOME of those settings are not required for a good OC on AIR or water. They come into play witgh LN2.

Normally, you can get by just adjusting CPU vCore, LLC, CPU NB (memory controller), HT and FSB voltage. Turning up all those extra power options is going to create a LOT of extra waste heat. And they normally aren't needed unless you're trying to push close to 5.0GHz. 4.5GHz is pretty standard OC for an 8320/8350 and shouldn't require huge calibration settings.
 


I'm not sure where my motherboard box is so I cant check but I don't think it is a sabertooth
Also would you be albe to list like I have above on what you think I should change and what to? I would REALLY appreciate it, I have no idea what I am messing with, I set it back to standard after seeing what you said and had another go but apon restart it just sits on a black screen... I don't even see the screen to enter bios.. I had to get my laptop out to reply
 
You've locked up BIOS? You'll have to reset CMOS, either by button, jumper or removing the battery and replacing after 10 seconds. Check which options are available for your board.
 

Perfect! Found and took out the battery and I am back in bios, from the list of things I have changed up above, what should I not change?
 
Okay so an update!!
After a little while of messing around I have a stable overclock at 4.51GHz! The temps are soooooo much better!
So thank you everyone for your help!!!
 
Hi guys, wonder if you could help, I just got my FX 8320 today and was wondering if I could overclock it to 4.4-4.5 ghz on stock Voltage?
I've got a Zelman aftermarket air cooler, don't know the part number
