Overclocking AMD FX

I was thinking about overclocking my 6300 CPU. I am not sure if I will need to get a aftermarket cooler and will it shorten the life span of it?

you won't get much from stock cooler, it will probably overheat easily, get an aftermarket cooler. and yes it will die a bit faster but that depends how much you OC it and it also depends how much vcore you increase.
