Overclocking an AMD A8-7600 issue.

I have an AMD A8-7600 APU. Why does my pc freeze up completely after i overclock it to 3.5 periodically? it was alot more frequent when i first started overclocking. Then i revert back to stock for a couple of days after it happens, but now it runs pretty good this is the third day at 1866 Mhz memory. i was overclocking the ddr3 to either 2400 or 2133 mhz when i first started but i just don`t know how to put in the numbers higher in manual on my ASUS A88x-plus bios Ai tweaker when i enter it. It automatically reverts back to 3.5 i can`t get to 3.8 is there a link anyone has that i could learn more about this?thank you for listening. Tim W.

Im not wrong, the A8-7600 is not a k sku, so its not unlocked.

It is overclockable I have an A8-7600 (not the kaveri edition) and it is overlockable, it can be overclocked through BIOS and overdrive.

Turbo boost will allow it to go up to 3.8GHZ automatically, when it needs it, are you trying to improve the base clock?

Well yeah but you can also change the base clock I was making sure he knew turbo boost was not the same
