I have an i5 2500s

Sitting in an ASRock Extreme6 1155 motherboard, is it possible to overclock the CPU?

I enabled Non-K overclocking, but it seemed not to change anything, I fiddled with some settings and then it wouldnt boot until i reset it.

Anything special about overclocking a non-k processor like this? Is it even possible?

Solution
A non K will only overclock a small amount by increasing the bCLK. That overclocks *everything* on the motherboard, so it can have some undesirable results. I had an i3 that i bumped to 102 and the system ran fine, but i had amazing lag in games due to the network card being out of sync.

Yeah I bumped the bCLK to 105 and it ran okay but I got audio skips in VLC media player, and I watch alot of shit so I immediately put it back.
There's nothing I can do with the voltage or the multiplier? I adjust the CPU ratio but that also doesn't seem to affect the speed, it usually hangs around 2.5ghz-3.16ghz. Its capable of 3.7ghz so at the very least can I get it to run at its highest turbo speed all the time?

101-102 might work OK. Multi is locked and changing voltage probably won't do anything unless you undervolt for power savings. I don't think you can force turbo, that would be a feature of your motherboard.
