I just finished my first build and I wanted to know how much, or if I can overclock my cpu. I have an i5-9600k, cm hyper 212 evo, asus rog strix z390-e and a 650 watt psu. What is the safe limit I can oc? I’ve read that the 212 evo has a 180 tdp and my unclocked cpu has 95, so how much can I really oc?

Solution
You'll hit the temp wall quite quickly with that cooler.... 9600k has 6 physical cores.... This makes the evo obsolete in the OC aspect because it's too much heat for it to deal with.

Cryorig has become the new Evo
SR-71 doesn't beat around the bush... His response is tied to the fact that you spent a pretty penny on the cpu, but cheaped out on the cooler.

Yeah you want to pair that with a good cooler if you want to get your money's worth from a K CPU. You shouldn't rule out air coolers, might find something that you like
