Hey guys. I am very new to this but I thought I would give it a try

I increased GPU by +60 mhz and memory by +250

I was using Precision EVGA.

Is this something safe to do? I do not want to play with voltage. Just thought would give me couple of FPS in Metro Last Light which I run at 1440p, all maxed, including 2x SSAA which runs at 40-50 FPS, sometimes in 30+ range.

Will I need to change the CPU speed or any of other settings or should I just leave it as it is?

Thanks

Overclocking this card doesn't makes much sense. It has a turbine style. I have got a founders edition gtx 1070 and it's the same dude. If you want to overclock it , look at the temps as oc won't give you anything if it thermal throttles man. Here is a tutorial.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gya3oHpU_WE. Hope that I helped. :)

Do you think that if I OC slightly it will give me 1-3 extra FPS in Metro?

So you think I should play with Temp? Sorry for silly question!

overclocking can give you about 10% more FPS. it's not really noticeable without FPS counter. BUT with Asus 1070 Turbo you will have much more noise and heat. Even more disappointing is the frequency fluctuation due to hitting thermal limits. That results in micro freezes/stuttering. So a bit lower, but steady GPU clocks are more fluid experience.

What does one fps change for you? This is too small amount. You should be getting at least 90fps with gtx 1070 dude. The one and only thing that I can recommend here is getting a new cpu , as if you are not getting these numbers it is bottlenecking very hard. Tell me your exact specs man. Hope that I helped. :)

I have i5 -7500 @3.40, 8G of 2400 Ram (Thinking of getting another stick) and 1070 Asus turbo. I have Asus VX24AH 1440 monitor which I run at 70Hz overlocked. As I mentioned I run Metro Last light at 1440 with all settings to Max and 2x SSAA. 2x SSAA hits the performance very hard even in 1080 Ge force, we all aware of that.

I think without 2x SSAA I have much higher FPS but since I use vsync it goes to 60fps and it works perfect.

With 2x SSAA I get around 30+/40 and even 49-50 FPS in Metro which is fine with me in Single player. So I thought if I OC my card a bit more it can help me with a few FPS when I go below 40.

But then again, if it is 2-3 FPS, its not worth it. I just wanted to OC my card :)

overclocking is fun :) if that's the reason, go for it. it's just CPU overclocking is more rewarding these days. but since your CPU is not overclockable, have some fan with GPU. In EVGA Precision, just play with custom frequency curve. remember, the highest frequency will be probably achieved at less than max voltage.
mine clocks the highest at 1.05-.1.063v

I am actually very confused how to do it. I have MSI Afterburner. I get confused between Voltage, fan speeds, power and temp. Need to read more. I thought I would just change the clocks without touching voltage or power.

Could you please give me a brief write up how you would OC 1070 with afterburner. No rush, whenever you have time. I just dont seem to understand all these details. I dont really wanna go far either, just enough for a few FPS but without pushing to the limit

Thanks!
