I have a 7950 graphics card that has 4 asus vn247hp monitors connected to it. 2 of the monitors are hooked up by hdmi to dvi then the other 2 are hooked up hdmi to dvi to an adapter that then goes to mini display port. I am trying to overclock all 4 of my monitors. When I am doing this with the CRU program the only monitors that I can get to increase over the 60Hz are the 2 monitors that are hooked up with the mini display port. Is it not possible to overclock the 2 other monitors that are hooked with DVI? If it is what do I need to change. Also, I use three monitors in a triple screen setup for gaming then the other monitor for everyday browsing and surfing the web.

Thanks

Your cables that are running from the DVI ports to the HDMI ports on the back of the monitors are single link.
It means they are limited to the bandwidth of a single link DVI cable which is 1080p60.
The ports may be dual link but you can't use the second link over hemi. So if the monitors have DVI inputs connect them via a dual link DVI cable, if the don't, then get more DP to DVI adapters, because those can detect that you
are using a HDMI cable and they support 1080p120 over that.

You may ask if there is any dual link DVI to HDMI cable, but there isn't really. You would need a special active cable that combines the two links to one faster HDMi "link" but these are very rare if they exist at all. So you'd betters get an active DP adapter because that would certainly be cheaper than a dual DVI to HDMI adapter, if there is one, at all.

And note that there are many cables that claim they are dual link but unless they are active cables, they just have the extra pins on the DVI connector, but they are just single link really.

Okay I gotcha. My graphics card has 2 dvi slots, 2 mini display port slots, and 1 hdmi slot. So I am unable to get more display port slots. If the dvi only supports 60hz then that answers why I can't go over 60 with those 2 monitors then. But the 2 monitors hooked to this (link) I'm able to go over 60. http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16814998050

I do not know why the adapters work, they probably use 1 faster link because they detect that you have a device attached via HDMI. What you could do is use a HDMI-HDMI cable instead of one DVI-HDMI cable because the card supports HDMI 1.4 which means 1080p120. You would still have one display running at 60Hz, but it doesn't make a difference if that's the extrenal display. So try that and let me know how did you get on.

Although after messing around I ended up figuring a way to get it done... I think lol. I ended up just resetting everything and then programming all 4 of my monitors to 70hz with 1920x1080. Then after having all 4 monitors running at that speed I went into the CCC and created my 5760x1080 triple screen set up. Then in the advance tab it shows that resolution running at 70hz. Does this sound like a logical way to do this? Also if this is the correct way to do it how much of a gain would I really notice by bumping up a little more to around 75hz.

Since I have never tried overclocking monitors I can't give you advice whether they all run at 70Hz, and if 75Hz would be noticeable or not. I just wrote down the bandwidth limits of each connection you used. But you can check the real refresh rate on this site: www.testufo.com/frameskipping And you need chrome or firefox 24+ to go over 60Hz. So give it a try, and check each display individually.
