Overclocking Asus strix 1060 OC

Hi All , i am planning for Asus strix gtx 1060 OC edition on this week . i just want to know do i need a "k" series CPU in order to overclock the GPU , as i have a non OC CPU . I am confused between Asus gtx 1060 dual OC edition and Asus Strix 1060 OC edition . Pleas e suggest....

my current specs are: gugabyte b85m-d3h , core i5 4670 , corsair 8gb ddr3 , seasonic s12-620watt , cooler master hyper tx3 evo , XFX R 7770 1gb DDR5 .

The graphics card overclocks differently than everything else.

Use MSI Afterburner with the asus card. GPU Tweak 2 has a broken driver and causes any number of graphical errors ranging from subtle to excessive.

The CPU and GPU are two different overclocks that are not related. Just download the GPU Tweak II software. It'll allow you to overclock.

Don't use GPU tweak. It's got a bad driver right now. Caused extreme instability. Use MSI afterburner

Yes it's good. All the ASUS strix series equipment is good, for that matter.

On the GPU? The cooler that the strix series provides is excellent.
If you're looking to do something aftermarket as far as AIO (at your own risk) you can use the G10 or the HG10 and an AIO pump.
