Overclocking at 1333

I have a computer being built by a friend atm with the following specifications.

920 core i7 2.66ghz
evga 275 gtx
evga x58 mobo
antec 1000w psu
xigametek dark knight cooler
antec 900 case
6gb corsair ddr3 1333 speed

He had told me that since my memory speed is 1333 instead of 1600 that I will not be looking at overclocking much (which I wanted to do). Is he right, or how much could I possibly overclock with safely. If all responses are generally in consesus with him, i think i'm gonna spend the extra coin and upgrade to 1600.

Was your friend's statement based on facts?

You should read http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/memory-scaling-i7,2325.html before upgrading the memory to DDR3-1600.
