Overclocking Athlon XP 2000+

Do you think the XP 2000+ would run if I just set the CPU speed to be at 166 instead of 133 leaving the PCI bus at 33, i know my memory can handle since i have PC2700 or DDR333. I was just wondering if the CPU would be okay, and would I still have to unlock the processor? The multiplier would still be the same. Thanks!!

i think you would have to lower the mult to get it to work...

WEll the multiplier would still be the same, so you wouldn't have to unlock it, but the question is, could the cpu handle it? If its a Tbred B I think you'd just want to raise the vcore and you'd be alright, but i'm not sure how much a Tbred A can go.

Very very unlikely without unlocking and lowering the multiplier.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dims when I turn it on 😱
