Overclocking brisbane 5600+

I am not way experienced with computer hardware, I know my stuff but I want to learn more, I have a inspiron 531s that I swapped into a new case and have upgraded and am saving my money to get a new board and quad core cpu, but in the mean time I want to overclock this new X2 brisbane 5600+ just to see what happens, what should I use to do this?? Most people say that the board is not meant for overclocking and that its not smart, I know this but It has to be possible..

I really want to learn more about pc hardware, I read a lot in forums but is there some kind of universal guide to computers where I can learn everything at once? lol ..
