Overclocking CPU question

Hi, i have recently purchased http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106011 and i am trying to overclock it to a good amount because it's my first time using water cooling for my cpu so please recommend some good ghz speed for gaming, i would like to get the most out of it by the way like 4.9 ghz.

why would you ever buy that chip? should have got a i5 3570k instead and would perform a lot better

if you were sticking to the amd side of things, the fx 8320 would still be a big improvement

for gaming, fx chips also lack performance due to weak threads.

anyways, id try 4.5ghz to make up for the speed decrease

I had a intel i5 CPU but i wanted a eightcore processor.

its not a 8 core processor. its a 4 core that makes 8 threads. and cores dont mean anything in processing power
