I was wondering if I want to overclock my new e6600 cpu, should I increase the FSB gradually like the old days to see if my system will be stable or can I just put it at 333mhz for the first time and everything will be fine??

My specs:
e6600
gigabyte s3
syncthe ninja cpu fan
ocz 600watts

thanks

From my understanding, you can go right to 333mhz.
You may have to mess with voltages and memory timing to keep it stable though.

Yep, go for it. It should be stable at 3Ghz with the stock voltage, but if you OC further, you'll have to raise it. I went straight to 3Ghz with mine, then increased by 100Mhz (FSB of 333,344,356,367,378) every time until I got to 3.4Ghz. Had to use 1.4v to get it stable though.
