overclocking effect on hardware (ryzen 1700 and msi 1070 gaming x oc)

if i overclock with an air cooler that keeps my cpu at around 70 degrees in ghost recon wildlands and a well cooled gpu, will it have any effect on the lifespan of my hardware(assuming that i oc both)? if it has even the slightest effect it might change my decision so please answer as facrually as possible. Thanks! (gpu is also air cooled)

The most "factual" answer here would be that it ultimately depends. Generally, keeping your CPU below 80 degrees C under full load should ensure your processor lasts for a significant length of its life. But increased temps can affect each piece of hardware differently, hence the "silicon lottery". For example, one CPU running at 85 degrees consistently might last a couple of years, while another of the same model may last less or more... there's no definitive way to guarantee what life you'll get. But if you keep it under 80 degrees, you shouldn't have any issues long term.
