Hello, this is my first post in the forums. I have been lurking around looking for answers but couldn't find anything related to my problem. My problem is that every time I restart my PC, or enter BIOS after restart and Exit BIOS, (Notice: My PC usually makes some noise of 2-4 seconds and boots up to windows normally) my PC enters a boot mode of some time which eventually loads the fans pretty badly then doesn't actually boots up, so my only option is to hold the power button for sometime to turn it off, then I turn it on again, after that it loads for 2-4 seconds and a screen saying "Overclocking failed! Press F1 ...", after I enter BIOS and exit by default, my PC reboots and loads normally as always. This always happens when I restart to BIOS mode or when a program I download needs a restart.

My PC Specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card
Case: NZXT H440 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Since the day I build the PC, for some reason whenever I boot it, I see the ASUS logo with a "Overclocked 15%" underneath it, but I have never overclocked it.

I am having the same issue. When I load the XMP or Perfomance Optimizer it fails to restart and after hard shutdown it says as above: oveclock failed.
