CPU: AMD FX-6300
MB: Gigabyte 970A UD3P

The core speed of the CPU is 3.5GHz, Turbo is 4.1GHz, my cooler is LEPA V12.

Can someone explain the process of overclocking with this motherboard, if I want to OC my CPU to 4.5 GHz. What settings, voltages would you recommend? I tried looking for some information on the internet, but it would be helpful, if there is someone who can explain everything more clearly, I would be very thankful.

hey man, I have the same rig..

OC'ing is very simple for this setup, you can use BIOS. Here's what I did: enter BIOS, and disable the power saving options for the CPU (Disable AMD Turbo Core Technology, Disable APM (Application Power Management), Disable Cool N Quiet, Disable C1E). For the frequency multiplier set it manually to 20.0 (use + / - keys to adjust values) - that way you achieve 6 cores on 4.0 GHz. That's about 15% overclock and it's pretty solid..

That's OC'ing by just adjusting the multiplier. I suggest you also raise the voltage a bit, I used +0,050V vcore.. (use + / - keys to adjust) Monitor the voltage and don't put anything more than 1.45 vcore! I suppose this is dependent on the cpu batch, not all fx-6300 are the same..
