Recently Overwatch has came out and I was so excited to begin playing when I got home from school. I bought it on Off Campus, came home and installed it. Launched it and bad FPS. It would drop below 25 FPS on Ultra. I then went to high turned a bunch of settings down and same FPS problems but this time FPS went up to 50 instead of 38. I updated my drivers the night before. And it said hey new update, I checked and it said a Beta for an update. But what confuses me I could run the Overwatch beta at Epic(highest settings) No issue. Well it was the beta. Anyways I can run cs:go maxed out with an average of 70 FPS. I can run Witcher 3 at 40+ FPS with a few settings turned down at High or Medium. Can not remember I will get back to you on that. Now the question becomes. I have an MSI 970 Gaming motherboard. Yes so does every other AMD user. Anyways the motherboard has a Slowmode and I can't find anything on my manual about it so I was wondering would this hinder my performance.
I have a AMD fx-6300 Black Edition and a XFX 9-380x Black Edition. Would over clocking help with performance issues and how should I set my fans up. Currently all my fans are pushing air out of my case. I will re-update all my drivers tonight but I am new to over clocking I have no clue where to start or how. I also am curious how I should have my fans settings. Thanks for the help and sorry for being such a complete noob at this PC Stuff. I just want some answers from actual users themselves and not an article.

The short answer is yes, you have a lot of room for improvement with that system and overclocking will make a considerable difference. I have a 8320 @ 5 Ghz right now with an XFX 380 and get 70FPS on Epic @ 1080P. I had a 6300 a few weeks ago @ 4.8Ghz and it got pretty much the same FPS. OverWatch is mainly GPU, but having two extra threads does help. CS:GO is nothing for a setup like this. You should be getting closer to 200 FPS on completely maxed out settings @ 1080p

You could get your setup to 4.6Ghz easily with some research. Overclocking the GPU gives a nice boost too. My XFX @ 1125 core /1650 memory. Great card for overclocking. Make sure stupid crap like Play.Tv service that AMD automically installs isn't running in the...

U need fan/fans to take air in the case from front or from down and a few fans to blow it out.
i had issues with performance when i had fx 6300 and r9 280x, bought i5 and got better results.

Maybe overclocking could help u :)

Firstly, what is your cpu temperatures at the moment?
1. Desktop usage temps ?
2. Gaming temps ?
(download hwmonitor to see temperatures)

Make sure stupid crap like Play.Tv service that AMD automically installs isn't running in the background and recording your games. So annoying. Also make sure power efficiency is turned off in Radeon settings.

Intake fans are more important than exhaust. Fresh cool air from the bottom and front will provide much lower GPU temperatures. Arrange your case fans so cool air is being drawn in from the lowest point, and hot air is exhausted from the highest point
