Overclocking, Gaming temps or Prime95

I've been experimenting with some light overclocking for the past few days and I've ran into a small bump. When running prime95 I'm getting temps of around 83c after 15 min and about 50c-55c while playing games. Which temp should I use as guidelines.

Example: If using the prime95 temp I would be pretty much at the limit.

If using gaming temp I would still have some overclocking headroom

(I pretty much only play games)
(reason why I'm overclocking is to help with my new 144hz screen)
(From what i gather the reason for lower temps in games is because the CPU is only being utilised to around 25%)

Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 w/ stock cooler, 3.4 Ghz, 1.260 V

Ram: Corsair Vengeance LED 2933Mhz @1.35V

Motherboard: Gigabyte ab350 gaming 3

GPU: Asus strix gtx 1060

Prime95 will just make sure your overclock is stable so always worth doing a significant run on Prime95 or AIDA64. If your overclock is not stable the bench tests from Prime95 and AIDA64 will highlight this so that you can fix. But your temps for gaming are good...
