I have GeForce 2 Ti card and I wanna overclock it to run Doom 3 better. Yes I know I need a better card to run this game well, I'll probably get that for Xmas. But for now what software could I get to overclock this card? Thanks.

My system
1.5 GHZ processor
512 MB PC 133 Ram
GeForce 2 Ti
Soundblaster
16X Lite On DVD Rom
80 GB HDD

You can use RivaTuner from Guru3d.com. That is what most people use to overclock their cards. However Doom3 is known for having problems with overclocked systems. So if Doom3 doesn't run after you overclock, don't be to suprised. You should be able to get by on a mild overclock without any problems though. Only way to find out for sure is to try.

Make sure you have proper cooling for overclocking. Many GeForce2 cards just have a passive heatsink (If any at all). I have used old 486 heatsink/fans (I take the fans off, and use them on the video), to help cool the cards a little better.

However your card is getting old now, so don't expect any miracles from an overclock. :frown:

Most likely you overclocked it to much. The best thing to do is, overclock in small steps, 5 mhz or so, at a time, and test after each step. It can be time consuming, but you will have to do it to find out how far your card can go and still be stable.

Also, it is smart to overclock the CPU and RAM seperately, that way you can tell which is causing the problem, if you do both at the same time, you won't know which one is set to far.

I cannot figure out if you are serious or not.

Just use CoolBits for your GF2.... and ya, get a fan on there...
