I have the Gigabyte GA-8INXP motherboard and it comes with a neat tool to overclock. You can do it through Windows. I wanted to know what was the best set up or configeration to overclock my system. Here are my specs:
Win. XP Pro(SP2)+DX9b
P-4 2.4Gb(533)
2048DDR(333)
GA-8INXP(bios F-4)
ATI 9800Pro(Catalyst 3.9)
Western Digital 200Gb 8Mb
S.B Audigy 2 (EAX drivers)
430w Thermaltake power supply
I noticed a stutter in NHL2004 so I decided to oeverclock the system.
I managed to be stable at 2707.12Mhz
CPU voltage=1.700v
AGP " " =1.700v
Dram " " =2.800v
The board is rated for 266 ram but I have 333, so I cranked up the DRAM to 300,AGP to 75 + PCI to 37 with the FSB to 150! I don't know what these #'s mean so I would like to have an excplamation on it please.
Also, when gaming the CPu beeps so I think it 's starting to warn me it's heating up 52`c. What can I do to keep it cooler?:confused
