Hello , I have a msi r9 390 gpu , and I want to overclock it , I have a few questions , I use msi afterburner , I've seen jayztwocents video on overclocking and he always maxes out the voltage and power limit , as the voltage can only add 100mv , is this safe? I am aware that it will decrease the life span on my gpu , but I was wondering how much will it decrease it by , will the gpu be obsolete by time it fails?

Will it still decrease lifespan if I overclock but don't change voltage or power limit?

Thanks in advance

What I do when I overclock mine is, leave the voltage alone until you need it, then I keep on tweekng the GPU clock and memory. And I run some tests while I do it. It does drain the life of the GPU, it depends on the overclock you have. I would say its not safe to max out the voltage, if thats as far as it goes.
