Overclocking GT650 with Asus GPU Tweak?

Hello

I'm just wondering how much can I overclock this custom built PC? I just found out that I have ASUS GPU Tweak installed on my computer, probably because of the ASUS motherboard. I'm worrying that my fan isn't maybe strong enough to handle if I go too far or something? I've never overclocked before so please try to explain in a way that a noob like me can understand.

You could try a small OC. See that small icon in the lower-left corner of the GPU Tweak utility? Click that and you'll be able to see the temps as well as other statistics about the card. Make sure the GPU temp stays under 80C at all times and you should be fine.

So this is OCing 101:

Slowly increase your GPU core clock speed but steps of 10Mhz untill the card runs too hot or becomes unstable...
Download Unigine Heaven Benchmark to stress test ur GPU...

If artifacts are seen on the screen or the program hangs then ur card is unstable... Then reduce the clock speed buy steps of 5Mhz untill the card is stable...

Run Unigine Heaven Benchmark for atleast 1-2hrs and monitor temps using GPU-Z...

If you want you can tweak with the memory clock and power Target.

To add to that, if the card becomes unstable but the temps are not that bad, increase the voltage by a little bit, that should make it more stable.

The bottom line: Take small steps and constantly monitor your temps and you should be fine.

Well the max TDP of that card is like 65W so a bit of overclocking shouldn't be too much.

Well I can overclock/install/do anything what boosts my PC performance. How is overclocking CPU different? Both boosts performance, right?

boosts performance it does, but you will barely notice the difference, and with your PSU, I would strongly avoid doing excessive overclocking.

It would allow pretty much any overclock on that system and a better CPU/GPU when you feel like upgrading.
It's also made by Seasonic = one of the best.
