So the GTX 1070 Armor OC base is 1500mhz and boost is 1700mhz. Recently I've wanted more out of this because I wasn't getting the FPS I wanted in H1Z1: King of the Kill. Although the game is very CPU intensive I wanted to give overclocking a try.

Currently I am using MSI Afterburner:

Power: 108% ( this is the max )
Mextemp : 93 degrees celcius
Core Clock : +175
Memory Clock : +350

I'm running around 2011mhz core Clock and 4300 memory Clock while in game. I also put my core voltage to 100% and I'm getting about 0.98. My temps are reaching 60 degrees celcius but no more then that.

Question : Is this overclocking fine? Is there something I should change or consider? Am I harming my computer in anyway?

Note: This is my first time overclocking & I really know nothing but to follow some guides and YouTube videos. So any help will be highly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

FPS Before : 60-80fps in town sometimes a 40fps drop.
90-110fps out of town slight fps drop.
( all low settings )

FPS After : 90-120fps in town slight fps drop
100-170fps out of town ( all low settings )

Nope that's all fine, and your temps are still low so you could even push it a little more. When it starts to crash wind it back a little until stable. Anything up to 75 degrees is fine.

CPU intensive games use your CPU not your GPU though, as the phrase suggests What's maxing out more in monitoring stats, CPU or GPU?

@multipack I only play h1z1 and only have monitored this OC on H1Z1. The usages for both CPU and GPU stay around 50-60% while in game. Also I found that it starts crashing once I past +175 core clock. So I simply left mine at +175. However I'm not really sure where I should put my memory clock. Do you have any suggestion that I should try?
