Overclocking Help AMD FX-8320

Hello people,
This is my first time on the forums so I hope I'm in the right place to ask this: I am planning to buy a FX-8320 with a Hyper 212 EVO cooler.
First do you guys recommend this cooler for the FX-8320?
Second how much can I overclock the FX-8320 with this cooler?

first what motherboard you got

with that cooler on 8320 i seen some people getting to 4.3 ghz stable note the 212 evo hyper edition the one that comes with 2 fans push/pull

if u got more cash i would get the 8350 since i oc better and you can even reach 5 ghz with good cooler you can buy later 😀

My motherboard is the Gigabyte 970-D3. And yeah I was thinking about buying the 8350 too, it depends on what will happen at the Christmas sales.

no kidding Gigabyte 970 is not very good at ocing :S

you need something with 990 chip like Gigabyte 990 or asus 990 boards for more stable ocing

look at boards with 990 for sale and get one
