Hi,

So i'm a bit of a novice when it comes to overclocking and the last thing I want to do is damage my hardware.

My specs are:
AMD Phenom II x4 970 @ 4.0ghz (Liquid cooled - Corsair h55)
Sapphire HD6950 2gb GDDR5 CROSSFIRE
ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer AM3
Corsair RM850
Corsair XMS3 8gb DDR3 Ram 1600mhz
125gb Samsung Evo SSD
500gb Sata drive

So I recently OC'd from 3.5 to 4.0 and everything runs pretty damn well, however because my main game is dayz (arma 2 mod) i'm trying to up my power because that game for those of you that know is really demanding/badly made.

the CPU runs at 50degrees whilst idle. However when oc'd to 4.2ghz, I can run a game for around 2 mins before it crashes and the system begins to faulter. My current voltage for this overclock is 1.425, is this too high and making the system unstable or vice versa?

Thanks, please help.
