Question Overclocking help

I have 2 systems I want to oc

System 1:
Core 2 duo e8400
XFX gtx 9800+
4 gb OCZ plat 1333 MHz ddr3
Asus p5q3 board

System 2:
i7 4790k
EVGA GTX 960 SC
16 gb Corsair vengeance 1333 MHz ddr3
Asus z97-e (or something)

How would I get the best stable overclock for each of these. I am new to the OC business so idk what I am doing. I don’t want to brick any of these systems.

every setup is different. best stable is not oc.
and you forgot the make and model of the psu

Well use the first pc to play around.Core2duo/quads are really simple to oc.I got my core2duo 2.66ghz to run at 3.6ghz but it has a proper copper core heatsink.Not all cpu's are the same and for your 4790k you need proper cooler on as they are beast when oc'd.There's a lot of guides how to oc an intel google is your friend 😀
