Just completely new to overclocking and wondering if anyone can give me a little more specific details on how to do it with my current specs, or at least point me in the right direction. I've read some overclocking guides but they are very general to me I was looking for something more specific to my specs as examples. Thanks for all your help and sorry if this seems stupid.

Overclocking is best accomplished in small increments, however you could attempt a jump to 3.2 Ghz for starters. I'm running most of your primary parts, but the stock CPU cooler isn't going to allow more than a moderate OC. Have you read wusy's OC Guide? 8)

yeah I did its actually very informative. I was just hoping anyone with the same specs could give me an idea on were to start. Thanks for the reply.

Last time i updated the bios was about a month ago I can update to the latest not a problem and probably will before I actually start overclocking.
