That's the thermal grease which you apply between the CPU core and the heatsink, full names are Arctic Silver 5, and Arctic Ceramique, silver 5 is a little better, but i personally prefer ceramique since it's non-conductive.

new temps

idle temp 31-33c
full temp 37-39c

old temps

idle 44-45c
full 66-67c

i would recommend this to anyone

Now see how high you can overclock.Should be able to do 3.6 at least as long as it doesn't get to hot.

its actualy very quiet i had to diconnect my case fan to hear it lol, do u think i will be able to over clock it to 3.2? i will have to wait a mth when i get my new ram coz atm i am running ddr2100 @ 266 will be getting 2x256 @ 800 then 2x512 @ 800.

gte some pc3200 and I'd say you will be able to hit 3.2 or higher.

No those scores are right i get 6000 with my 9800 pro over clocked 5500 with stock speeds .Make sure you have HyperThreading enable cuse that should give you a higher score than my 2.8b.

ive just set bios to aggresive HT was on and scored 5629 when i get my twinmos 3200 ram and 2new hdd for raid will that make a difference?

Ya the twinmos should help.What ram do u have in it now? The raid wont help.

Also go download aquamark and then you can compair your score with mine.

atm got 1gb 2100 266 quite pants really will get twinmos next mth

how much of an increase will the twinmos give over the ram ive got now, twinmos will be set up for dual mode

Your multiplier should be locked up you can turn up the FSB but i wouldn't recomend it till you get that twinmos.To get 3.6 ghz I think you'll have to turn your fbs up to 250 which would mean your ram would be running at 500 mhz.So most likely you will need to trun your fsb:ram ratio to 5:4 so put your ram down to 333 and then start over clocking but frist see how high you can get without underclocking your ram.

You know i have a p4 oc guide in this forum it explains how you can overclock even with crappy ram. You just use the dram divider.
