2x4gb hyperx fury 1866mhz
r7 250 1gb ddr5

now heres the catch...
my memory modules were not bought as a kit, they were purchased same time but since the store does not have a 2x4 kit, i purchased 2pcs 1x4gb hyperx fury...

now is it possible for me to still overclock this to a 2400mhz since my board supports it...

help pls thanks

well ive tried different timings and such i kept on getting blue screens and all...sometimes it wouldnt, but games would keep on crashing, tried it at 2133mhz still the same.... 🙁 sad im about to give up...

but ill try this 12 12 12 32 sets...

thanks...

oh and another thing, i am able to OC one stick at a time to 2400mhz but if theyre together blue screens are inevitable, thats why im asking if not a kit, is it still possible.... 🙁

i dont show any cpu/nb voltage control in my bios, instead i have here cpu/nb current capability set to 100%(notes a higher value extends the overclocking frequency range) options are 110%/120%/130%

i also have here NB frequency set to auto(notes:can be lowered to allow more OC margin for the memory or higher to boost memory performance) i left it under auto because there is no drop down option to choose from, ill have to set it manually and i have no idea what figures to put in hahaha

i went ahead set cpu/nb capability to 120%

left nb frequency to auto

timings on 12 12 12 32 and dram voltage on 1.65v

and viola!!! it did not boot at all hahaha

lowered frequencies to 2133 and i got it to boot, no blue screens for an hour but all my games keep on crashing...

timings were left to auto...but voltage 1.65v
suggestions?

well, that may be untrue, coz i managed to OC one stick at a time at 2400mhz with timings 11 11 13 35...stable

but when two sticks are installed together, theyre doomed...

i guess u can never OC a non kit set at all 🙁
